Access Engineering, Inc. provides permanent and temporary road design plans for projects in the state of Michigan using Openroads Designer and Microstation softwares.

Permanent Roadway Design

AEI has designed roadway rehabilitation projects, Capital Preventative Maintenance (CPM) projects, ramp reconstruction projects, and approach pavement for bridge projects throughout the state of Michigan. All plans are designed according to standards and guidelines established by MDOT.

Temporary Pavement Design

Since 1999, AEI has been providing temporary pavement design as part of the traffic control plans. Work has included the design of temporary widening, temporary crossovers, and temporary roadways. Drainage, horizontal and vertical alignments, profiles and detail grades are all incorporated into the temporary pavement design.
