Roadway Rehabilitation

AEI has provided transportation engineering services on numerous roadway rehabilitation project in the state of Michigan. Past work has included preparation of plans for staging construction and maintaining traffic, often including the design of temporary pavement, and preparation of transportation management plans, final pavement marking plans, road design plans and non-freeway signing plans.

  • I-75 from Beaver to Cottage Road in Bay County, Michigan


    • Project was designed to be bid as a concrete overlay with shoulder reconstruction, or as a concrete rubblize and HMA overlay with shoulder reconstruction. Project also included bridge deck replacement on 4 structures. Moveable barrier was utilized to optimize the directional flow of traffic on I-75 in the peak periods.

  • WB I-94 from 17 ½ Mile Road to 21 ½ Mile Road in Calhoun County, Michigan


    • Project included a hot mix asphalt overlay with reconstruction of I-94 under four structures and bridge rehabilitation on two structures.
